If I can't impress you....hmmm...then I guess I don't care. Isaac and I went out tonight after kung fu! We went downtown and watched a film crew shoot a scene from a movie. Supposedly Willem daFoe was involved. Also, I could have SWORN I saw the kid from Billy Elliot, except he was all grown up and not in ballet shoes (sadly). Probably just some lamewad from Galisteo, though. Not that I have anything against Galisteo. Anyway, here is my night out self-portrait made on a restaurant napkin.

Day isn't over until I go to bed! Here is a quick and dirty drawing. I completely overworked and ruined the first two I started, so I gave in and left it simple. I don't normally leave drawings at this gestural stage, but I rather like it!

Self-portrait a Day Challenge...Day 1.
One of my dearest friends in the world, Jean Wilkey, recently had the idea to draw a self-portrait every day. I think that's a fabulous idea! So, I'm going to steal that idea and do it myself. I will do a new self-portrait every day for a year—presumably until I'm sick of looking at myself. Aw, who am I kidding...I'M GORGEOUS!
